RSS feed; Why RSS?

Consider this, there are two ways, over the Internet, to get information to you. First you could check this site to see if there is any new information. This is essentially a pull technology - you pull stuff from us. Alternatively we could email you information when we have new information. This is essentially a push technology - we push stuff to you. There are disadvantages with both schemes; the first requires you to visit regularly and the second smacks of mass mailing / spam.

RSS is a third possibilty. You need an RSS reader which can come from many sources; e.g. email reader or web-browser plug-in. You install the RSS link. Then when you click on the installed link, the target site is quickly introgated for new items. If there is something new, then you get a brief description and you make the decision to click through to the updated web page on this site.
